The pubcentral system consists of a natural progress concerning editing management of printed or electronic publications.

It is a comprehensive system which manages information and workflow for publications, books and conferences.  Its modules and tools enable editors to deal with submission processes, reviewers´ remarks, more efficient production and publication, increasing the concept to authors and promotion agencies, reducing time for publishing important scientific data and cutting down on costs on infra-structure.

What was once a task that used various applications (email, referee tables, deadline tables, standardised acceptance and refusal letters, changes, faxes with proofs and corrections, etc) has become centralised and organised into one software offered under the license ASP*.

The system is internationalised and is available in English and Portuguese.  As it is based on the web, it is available in a safe and efficient way from any point where you have access to the Internet.

This enables editors, editing assistants and authors to follow what is happening in their work from the Electronic Editing team checking registration deadlines, sending/receiving of proofs, status and galley-proofs.

* Application Service Provider (ASP)
An annual service offered where the installation, maintenance of the domain and server, host, backup, updating and technical support are all included.  The client does not have to worry about dealing with various suppliers and can solve any problem just by calling or sending an email.
